8 Dreamy Garden Wedding Venues in Seattle

If you’ve been keeping up on my blog lately, then you know I recently published an article about the Top 12 Small Wedding Venues in Seattle, where I delved deep into all of my favorite venues for intimate celebrations in & around the city. Today I’m doing something similar, but a little more focused on one type of venue: garden venues! It’s safe to say that as a wedding florist, I’m obviously partial to wedding venues that are filled with lush gardens, foliage, florals, and greenery, so I figured it was only right to create a guide to the 8 best garden wedding venues in Seattle. These are going to be venues with either some whimsical, woodland vibes, or a lavish garden setting brimming with quintessential Pacific Northwest foliage—and spoiler alert, each and every one of them will be a spectacular place to bring your wedding vision to life. Ready to step into your own little fairytale and find the venue that best suits your magical day?

8 Dreamy Garden Wedding Venues in Seattle

1. The Greenhouse at Almquist | Queen Anne

I would hardly feel right starting this list off with anything other than the Greenhouse at Almquist, being that it’s a part of one of my all-time favorite Seattle wineries, and has been a favorite venue of mine to work for some time now. Located in the heart of the Queen Anne neighborhood off the Ship Canal, Almquist Winery is the epitome of romance, offering an array of idyllic venue spaces full of effortless elegance, natural light, and thoughtful design—my favorite of which is the Greenhouse. Duh! It’s an idyllic glass greenhouse with massive windows that allow the sunlight to seep in, black trimmings that add a sleek, modern touch, warm, ambient lighting, and endless space to decorate with sprawling greenery. It’s truly the dream for every florist, a blank canvas that could be filled with any type of foliage or florals and look absolutely spectacular. Whether you’re envisioning a dark and moody fall color palette, taking advantage of the black trim and the overcast autumn skies, or a bright and airy summer celebration with pastel florals and sun rays shining through the glass, you and your vendors can make it happen at the Greenhouse! Perfect for smaller celebrations, the Greenhoues can seat up to 48 people for dinner parties, or 60 people cocktail-style.

Not only will you have access to this gorgeous greenhouse; you’ll also be able to use the Barrel Room at Almquist, which is a beautiful room lit by ambient string lights and decorated in, well, wine barrels, that can seat up to 200 people. There’s also a cozy restaurant area that seats up to 60 people, as well as a lovely outdoor wine garden space. Whatever your dream may be, it’s bound to come true at the Greenhouse at Almquist!

If you’d like to see an example of what your wedding could look like at the Greenhouse at Almquist, take a peek at this dreamy Autumnal Romance styled shoot I put together last fall.

2. Maroni Meadows | Snohomish

If you’re down to travel a little outside of Seattle in order to find a super secluded, serene, and idyllic garden wedding venue, then I’ve got just the one for you. Maroni Meadows is a breathtaking outdoor garden wedding venue just 35 minutes outside of Seattle, but it’s one of those places that’ll make you feel like you’re hours away from the big city! Certain parts of this venue are almost reminiscent of a tropical island rather than a Pacific Northwest forest, with a blend of both gardens with native foliage and lush woods, as well as towering palm and banana trees and a little “island-on-the-pond” that feel more like a scene out of the mountains of Hawaii.

With 5 sprawling acres of pristine land, Maroni Meadows has multiple different venues you can choose from for your ceremony, and can accommodate up to 200 people—it can be customized to fit either a small wedding of 20-30, or a large celebration with everyone you love! You’ll have access to a variety of gardens filled with flowers, greenery, and trees, as well as two ponds, spacious fields, and my personal favorite: the bridge over one of the ponds where you can exchange your vows, surrounded by friends and family who are seated around the ponds. How fun is that?! This venue has endless space to explore throughout your day; maybe you begin by getting ready in the Bride’s House + The Pub, transition out to a spot by the banana trees for your first look, have your ceremony in the garden, and your reception on the lawn, beneath the twinkling stars and dark night sky.

Maroni Meadows wedding packages begin at $5,800 for a Sunday wedding between June-September, and you’ll get exclusive use of the entire property for the day. Included in your package will be amenities and services such as:

  • A 40x40 reception tent

  • Floating beverage bar

  • Dance floor

  • Fire pit

  • Two ponds

  • Tiki torches throughout the venue

  • Parking attendants & ADA parking

  • Venue staff on site

  • Patio area

  • Carriage House

  • Tables & chairs

  • Beverages

  • Rehearsal & planning time

  • Bride’s House + The Pub for getting ready

3. Fox Hollow Farm | Issaquah

Fox Hollow Farm brings all the charming English garden vibes just minutes away from Seattle, so that you barely have to leave the city in order to experience the romance, beauty, and history of a European-countryside-style manor. This country estate boasts a stunning location in the foothills of the mountains of Issaquah, nestled among the wooded hills with multiple different venue sites to choose from, including a historic 1940s manor, a rustic barn, a spacious glass greenhouse, pristine gardens, and manicured lawns. Fox Hollow is actually more than just a wedding venue—it’s a working farm that grows produce and provides for Landmark Event Co.’s farm-to-table catering program! So if you end up getting married at one of Landmark’s wedding venues (such as the MV Skansonia or the Fremont Foundry), you’ll get to enjoy locally-grown produce and herbs right from Fox Hollow.

With space to accommodate up to 300 people for a seated reception (or a whopping 1,200 standing), Fox Hollow has an endless amount of opportunities to customize your own unique wedding, whether you’d like to exchange your vows inside of the bright and airy greenhouse, or among the trees on the lawn. It’s truly a hidden gem in the greater Seattle area—who wouldn’t want to tie the knot on the breathtaking, sprawling grounds of a secluded farm nestled in the greenery-covered hills of Issaquah? When you book Fox Hollow for your wedding, you’ll have access to the entire property for a full 10 hours on the day of your wedding, so no need to worry about choosing a specific room to use. And if you end up being graced by classic PNW rain, don’t fret! There are multiple areas around the farm that you can adapt to stay protected from the rain, such as the barn and the covered reception area. You can also use their clear top tent as a backup plan for your ceremony!

P.S. Fox Hollow Farm is pet-friendly, so feel free to bring along your four-legged family members to join in on the fun.

4. Gray Bridge | Snohomish

Let’s head a little further outside of the city to showcase one of my favorite garden wedding venues in Seattle (rather, in the Seattle area): Gray Bridge. This venue was entirely designed to imitate a gorgeous countryside property far away from the city, showcasing all the beauty of the Pacific Northwest on one property with a waterfront ceremony location, a gorgeous forest, even views of the Cascade Mountains. I love what they say on their website: that Gray Bridge is perfect for couples who are looking for any of the following: a garden wedding, a forest wedding, a waterfront wedding, or a private estate wedding. How often do you find a venue where any & all of those dreams can come to life? With 16 expansive acres and 3 acres of gardens alone, it’s not hard to imagine what your wedding could look like at Gray Bridge, whether you want to hots an intimate evening garden party with 10 of the folks you love most, or a grand celebration with 150 guests. And all of this without driving more than an hour from Seattle!

Another cool thing about Gray Bridge is that they pride themselves on inclusive and cost-saving wedding pricing, with the goal of providing as many amenities & services as they can to simplify your planning process. The rental fee for weddings at Gray Bridge is $10,000, which includes rental time from 10am-11pm, with an hour for breakdown. Here’s what you’ll get with this inclusive Gray Bridge wedding fee:

  • Space for up to 150 guests

  • 2,700 square feet of tented space

  • Market lights & chandeliers

  • Farmhouse tables & X-back chairs

  • Waterfront dance area with cocktail tables & tolix chairs

  • Wine barrels & gray market umbrellas

  • S’mores cart, water, and coffee service

  • Parking for up to 75 cars

  • 1 hour of rehearsal time

  • Facilities coordinator

  • Intial set-up and deep clean-up

5. Washington Park Arboretum | Lake Washington

What better garden venue setting could there be than an arboretum? Especially one located on the shores of the beautiful Lake Washington!

Washington Park Arboretum is part of Washington Park, which is managed by both the UW Botanic Gardens and the City of Seattle. The arboretum is truly like a hidden escape from the hustle and bustle from the city, even though it’s located just 15 minutes from downtown Seattle. With 230 acres that boast an incredible collection of lush plants and vibrant flowers, Washington Park Arboretum is a garden oasis if I’ve ever seen one, and it’s the dream garden wedding venue for couples who want the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest without having to leave the city. There’s even a gorgeous Japanese Garden at the south end of the Arboretum, though unfortunately no weddings or professional photography is allowed in this garden, so it’s simply a beautiful place to explore and experience with your loved ones if you get the chance!

In addition to the obviously stunning and spacious garden atmosphere, Washington Park Arboretum also offers an indoor venue space perfect for wedding celebrations, if you want/need an indoor setting. This venue, Wisteria Hall, features a series of large windows that allow in an abundance of natural light, as well as rustic fir beams and plenty of room to hold a reception. Alternatively, you could host your entire celebration outdoors, taking advantage of the whimsical garden space, the lush greenery, the terraces, the ponds. . . all of it is a dream come true!

Fun fact: UW also has a Center for Urban Horticulture, which is a part of the UW Botanic Gardens and is available for weddings as well. The space includes 16 acres of beautifully landscaped property, an expansive wildlife habitat, a lush canopy of trees, and even a gorgeous atrium. This venue can seat up to 190 people in the indoor reception hall or 200 people in the enclosed meadow, and offers both indoor and outdoor settings for celebrations.

You really can’t go wrong either way, whether you opt to host your special day at the Arborteum or the Center for Urban Horticulture!

6. Kingston House | Kingston

Simply put, Kingston House is a PNW dream come true. Allow me to just list out all the different venues available on this property, to give you an idea of just how expansive and impressive it is:

  • A mid-century residence perched atop a grassy hill

  • A pondside ceremony location surrounded by trees

  • A working lavender farm

  • A lush maple grove

  • An outdoor courtyard reception area

  • A courtyard with a clear top tent

  • A pondside arbor and swing

I could go on and on about my love for this venue forever, truly. Located on the Kitsap Peninsula just a ferry ride away from Seattle, Kingston House is an oasis in the heart of the PNW, boasting every single type of setting one could dream of for a garden wedding venue. You’ll have access to 27 breathtaking acres of land with multiple locations for ceremonies and receptions, as well as support from the venue staff, an event coordinator, and even a parking attending to ensure things to go smoothly. Kingston House doubles as a cozy, luxury place to stay, so their wedding packages include 2 nights of lodging for up to 14 guests!

To add to the venue’s appeal, Kingston House is also extremely dedicated to hosting sustainable, environmentally-conscious events, and is intentional about softening their footprint with every celebration they host. The staff prioritizes environmentally-sound landscaping practices and planning events that conserve energy, as well as minimze waste, which I always love to hear. Along with their commitment to respecting and sustaining the planet, Kingston House also really values the relationships they create with each and every person who steps foot onto the property; couples, guests, and staff alike. They even partner with multiple local organizations including Maple Tree Corner and the Kingston Food Bank. It’s so easy to see the care and passion the Kingston House team puts into their venue and their events, and as a wedding vendor, it is so refreshing to work with a venue like this!

Kingston House wedding packages begin at $11,000 for a weekend event of up to 100 guests from May-September, and include the following:

  • Use of the 27-acre property

  • Indoor event hall

  • Caterer prep kitchen

  • Multiple large event tents

  • 2 nights of lodging in the on-site residence for up to 14 guests

  • Venue coordinator & event day staff

  • On-site parking & attendant

  • 2 site visits

  • Optional rehearsal dinner

  • Optional additional nights of lodging

7. Bella Luna Farms | Snohomish

Snohomish seems to be where it’s at for these garden wedding venues in the Seattle area—after all, it is a bit further out from the city, and it’s a whole lot easier to find those secluded, charming garden vibes out in the country. Adding to the list of stunning garden wedding venues in Snohomish is Bella Luna Farms, a breathtaking family-run farm nestled on 12 acres of lush forest that was named the “Best Intimate Venue” by Seattle Bride magazine in 2020! It’s the ideal venue for couples envisioning an intimate wedding or an elopement with just a couple of guests, boasting a variety of settings that can be adapted to fit any size group. You’ll be drooling over the scenery as soon as you step foot on the property, which boasts extensive gardens, an apiary, farm animals, and even a farmstead creamery; it’s the definition of a farm-to-table wedding experience, from the picturesque landscaping to the home-grown ingredients used in your seasonally-inspired meals! The possibilities are endless when it comes to designing your own one-of-a-kind celebration at Bella Luna Farms; you could spend time strolling through the gardens with your new spouse for portraits together, munch on delicious appetizers in the open-air Grape House, or enjoy a relaxed evening under the night sky with your loved ones on the pondside lawn. Did I mention there are chickens and goats wandering around that you can become friends with? What more could you want?

8. Rock Creek Gardens | Puyallup

Our final venue on this list of garden wedding venues in Seattle is the iconic Rock Creek Gardens, a beloved private estate that offers a dreamlike atmosphere for outdoor weddings in Puyallup. Not only is the 20-acre property absolutely spectacular, with pristine greenery, spacious lawns, rustic stone pathways, and cascading waterfalls; Rock Creek Gardens also offers scenic views of Mount Rainier—what a dream! The quintessential Pacific Northwest greenery & views, combined with the English-inspired garden landscapes, is pure magic, creating such a secluded, peaceful oasis for couples and their guests to enjoy an escape from the city. Rock Creek Gardens can accommodate up to 300 guests, and provides access to a two-story wedding party house for private use, a gorgeous garden ceremony spot with a pergola and chandelier, and a 3,200 square-foot reception tent for the latter half of your celebration. They even have plenty of on-site parking for you and your guests, which saves you the hassle of having to carpool too much or find off-site parking.

Rock Creek Gardens offers multiple wedding packages, ranging from a microwedding package to a two-day wedding package. Their Signature Package, however, starts at $10,000 and can be booked from May through October. The following amenities are included in this package:

  • 10 hours of private venue access

  • 1-200 guests (option to have up to 300)

  • Tables & chairs

  • Private wedding party house

  • Pre-wedding photoshoot location

  • Online client planning guide

  • One-hour Thursday rehearsal

  • Garden ceremony

  • Reception tent

  • On-site parking

If you’re looking for more quality time with your loved ones in this marvelous setting, I highly recommend considering their two-day wedding package, which gives you extra hours on Saturday as well as a Friday rehearsal & dinner on the terrace!

BONUS: The Seattle Greenhouse

I wanted to throw in one extra idea for you, but it isn’t quite a wedding venue—it’s a spot in Seattle that offers an incredible option for either engagement photos, or for portraits on your wedding day! The Seattle Greenhouse is a 10x16 greenhouse space that serves as a photo studio, embracing all those warm and cozy tropical vibes that we all crave during Seattle winters. Filled with natural light and dreamy tropical plants, this studio makes for an amazing location for engagement photos or wedding/elopement portraits of just the two of you—there’s even an aesthetic vintage wood stove and a clawfoot tub, if you wanna get creative and play around a bit. This is such a fun option if you want garden-themed photos of you and your love, but in a private space rather than a public park or arboretum!

I hope that one of these enchanting garden wedding venues in Seattle ends up being the perfect spot to host your celebration; I’m confident that no matter which one you choose, you’ll leave with memories that will last a lifetime.
