JM Cellars has quickly turned into one of my favorite winery wedding venues in the Seattle area, located just 15 minutes from the city in Woodinville. You truly get the best of both worlds: urban and outdoorsy, modern and rustic, plus you and your guests have easy access to the hustle and bustle of the city if you’d like to experience it. Set on seven lush acres of the Woodinville countryside just 15 minutes from Seattle, JM Cellars is a family-owned venue that values sustainability, environmentally-sound practices, and providing quality experiences to each and every couple—my kinda place. It’s a classic Pacific Northwest wedding venue, brimming with native Northwest foliage, sprawling gardens, and vineyards galore; essentially an endless array of breathtaking spots to celebrate, decorate, and have your photographer capture. With an adorable nickname like “Bramble Bump,” it’s no wonder this property is an outdoor oasis ready to host delightful, vibrant festivities!

In addition to the obviously jaw-dropping scenery and outdoorsy atmosphere, JM Cellars does a fantastic job of prioritizing its couples and delivering an above & beyond experience. When you tie the knot at JM Cellars, you’ll have exclusive use of the venue the entire day—so you won’t have to worry about anybody else coming to enjoy the wines during your big event! And you’ll get access to not only the main venue and arboretum, but also to the JM Loft, which is the perfect space for you and your wedding party members to get ready. With two separate areas, a pool table room, multiple restrooms, a large lounge space, and an open kitchen, you’ll have plenty of room to move about the private loft with your loved ones as you sip on champagne, put on your attire, and get excited for your ceremony.

Note that while the venue is not entirely ADA-accessible, they have made a few intentional modifications to improve accessibility, such as a gravel path that leads down to the ceremony site, and paved access to the majority of the spaces you’ll be using on your wedding day. They also provide a lift on the back patio in case anyone in your party needs accessible access to the loft space!

And did I mention that well-behaved dogs are allowed here, too? The venue recommends bringing a dog-sitter of some sort to make sure your pup(s) are taken care of, and can be taken back home after your ceremony.

JM Cellars Wedding Info & Packages

Onto the more practical stuff! JM Cellars can accommodate up to 100 guests, but their space is also perfect for more intimate gatherings if you’re planning a smaller celebration. Keep in mind that their parking lot can fit up to 40 vehicles (with the use of their provided valet service), so you’ll need to carpool if you’re planning on filling up the venue to its max capacity. Because the venue can fit such a range of group sizes, they’ll help you plan out the best layout that makes sense for your group size & day-of timeline. If you have guests coming in from out of town, there are plenty of areas nearby with a ton of accommodation options, including the greater Woodinville countryside as well as Bothell and Kirkland.

A huge plus about choosing JM Cellars as your wedding venue is that they host weddings all year round, which is obviously important for a place like the Pacific Northwest! As long as the venue is available, you can get married any day of the week, during any month; keeping in mind that summer is peak wedding season and will have the most competitive rates & dates. Thanks to the variety of both beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces they have to offer, you’ll never have to worry about rain or poor weather ruining your day; they’ll help you adapt and make backup plans to ensure everything goes smoothly no matter what. JM Cellars wedding packages begin at $7,650 for weddings between November-April—if you want to save some money, these winter months will be your best bet. Pricing increases during the shoulder seasons, starting at $7,950 for May, June, and October, and the starting rate goes up to $8,450 for summer weddings from July through September.
